The Auberge de la Croix-Blanche is among the establishments featured in the new book dedicated to the history and development of the municipality of Gingins. Entitled Gingins – Serenity of a Deeply Rooted Village, the publication explores the village’s past, heritage, and the people who contribute to its vitality today.

In a chapter titled “Auberge de La Croix-Blanche: Fellini on the Plate”, the book looks back at the transformation of this iconic village address and the journey undertaken by Enzo Buffarini and Cinzia Saccani since its reopening in 2021.

The book recounts the couple’s story, from their origins in Italy to the circumstances that led them to settle in Gingins. It also highlights the revival of this historic building, whose origins date back several centuries, and explains how the establishment gradually earned its place within the regional gastronomic scene.

The publication particularly emphasizes the success of the Italian cuisine served at the Auberge de la Croix-Blanche, as well as the distinctions it has received in recent years. This recognition has helped bring attention to Gingins far beyond the village itself.

Beyond its recent history, this feature also serves as a reminder of the building’s importance in village life. For many decades, the former inn was a central gathering place for residents, hosting meals, celebrations, and countless moments of conviviality that left their mark on several generations of Gingins inhabitants.

The entire team at the Auberge de la Croix-Blanche is deeply honored to be included in this publication, which reflects the strong attachment of the local community to its village and heritage. We warmly thank the Municipality of Gingins for this wonderful recognition and are proud to contribute, in our own way, to the story of a place we are delighted to call home.
